Richard F. Otto is the chair of the Digital Media Technologies at East Stroudsburg University. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Memphis, TN. During his tenure as chair of the department, he has upgraded the curriculum, technology and facilities used by DMET students, including building a recording studio, a state-of-the-art multimedia classroom, and procuring and researching the integration of industry standard equipment and computing power throughout the program. His teaching is focused on video and field production. His area of research is virtual gaming communities and the nature of multiple player games, and trying to understand the phenomenon from the player’s perception.
